Freedom Drivers

About Freedom Drivers

A lawful workforce coalition committed to due process, regulatory clarity, and supply chain continuity.

Who We Are

Freedom Drivers brings together lawful CDL holders, industry employers, legal advisors, and community advocates who share a common concern: that procedural uncertainty in commercial driver licensing is undermining workforce stability and supply chain reliability.

Our coalition includes owner-operators, fleet managers, trade association representatives, and legal professionals who believe that clear regulatory frameworks serve everyone: drivers, employers, enforcement agencies, and the public.

We are not an activist group. We are a lawful workforce coalition focused on procedural integrity, due process protections, and evidence-based policy.

What We Stand For

Pro-Process

We advocate for clear, consistent, and lawful procedures for CDL issuance, review, and enforcement. Every driver deserves to know the rules and have them applied fairly.

Pro-Clarity

Federal and state authority over commercial licensing should be clearly defined. Ambiguity creates confusion for drivers, employers, and enforcement agencies.

Pro-Stability

The freight industry depends on a stable, qualified workforce. Procedural disruptions to lawful drivers threaten families, businesses, and the broader supply chain.

Freedom Drivers is not anti-law enforcement and not anti-safety. We support lawful implementation of commercial driver regulations through proper channels and due process.

Who We Serve

CDL workforce disruptions are an infrastructure issue. The freight industry depends on regulatory clarity and workforce stability.

Fleet Operators

  • Sudden loss of qualified drivers disrupts route planning and customer commitments
  • Regulatory uncertainty complicates compliance and workforce management
  • Insurance and liability considerations shift when driver status is unclear
  • Recruiting and training replacement drivers is costly and time-intensive

Owner-Operators

  • CDL disruptions directly threaten small business viability and equipment investments
  • Loan obligations and operating costs continue regardless of CDL status
  • Procedural delays can result in loss of contracts and customer relationships
  • Limited resources for legal representation compared to larger carriers

Trade Associations

  • Industry-wide workforce planning requires predictable regulatory frameworks
  • Member companies need clear guidance on compliance obligations
  • Collective advocacy for consistent federal standards benefits the entire industry
  • Data and research on workforce impacts inform sound policy development
